Rotary has many ways of helping people who are less fortunate than ourselves. These take the form of what is known as ‘Avenues of Service’ and all our efforts with fund raising go 100% to these various ‘Avenues of Service. There are Five Avenues of Service in Rotary, they are, in alphabetical order.
Community & Vocational
As the name suggests this committee looks to help the local community, from the elderly and handicapped, the very young who might also be unwell and handicapped, through to helping the young school-leavers to find employment, and this is where the Vocational aspect comes in. This is held in St.Mary’s Church Rooms, and we usually host somewhere in the region of 60-70 people and their helpers.
