So, what is Rotary, and is it for me?

Rotary is an organization of business men and women that meet weekly for fellowship, and as a result of that fellowship we organize various activities that raise monies to help people less fortunate than ourselves.

Rotary Clubs donate the money they raise to local, national and international charities, whether it be to a local Scout or Guide troop or a local residential home for the elderly, or to the R.N.I.B. or other national charities or collectively with other Rotary Clubs to send help to a stricken earthquake zone, Rotary Clubs are dedicated to helping others, our International motto is 'Service Above Self'.

Belonging to a Rotary Club does not mean that we are always working, far from it.  We have a very active social side.

We are keen to involve our wives, husbands, or partners to  join us at our meetings on at least 5 times a year.  We organize short break holidays to a city in the UK, or we may just have an evening at a show in London. A recent addition to our Social Side is getting involved in London Walks., where we meet up with other Rotarians and their families, and explore various small areas of London. Nearly always on a Sunday, we are slowly walked around our capital accompanied by an official London Walks Guide. Click here for the details of the 2008 walks.

By this method members form new friendships and subsequent fellowship to reach our objective, to raise money. DO YOU THINK YOU CAN YOU HELP US?

If you feel you would like to know more or would like to come along to a meeting under no obligation, please do not hesitate to email me.
